Photos don’t lie the way promises sometimes do. When a water line breaks or mold creeps up a basement wall, you want to see what a restoration actually looks like when it’s done right, not just hear about it. We keep this gallery because the before-and-after moments matter. A tide mark on drywall, a soot-covered kitchen, a crawlspace nobody wanted to go into. Then the after. Dry, clean, and documented. That’s the whole job, in two pictures.

Supply Line Burst in a Finished Basement, Hempstead

The problem was a 3/4-inch copper supply line that let go behind a bathroom vanity while the family was at work. Water ran for hours, soaked carpet and pad in the finished side of the basement, and wicked up drywall to about 18 inches. We extracted, pulled the pad, set up Dri-Eaz and Phoenix drying equipment with daily moisture readings, and cut drywall 2 feet above the visible tide mark before treating and drying the framing. Shoe covers went on at the door and drop cloths covered the stair runner before the first piece of equipment came in. The result: a fully dried basement, no mold, and a written scope so the adjuster could process the claim without back-and-forth.
Attic Mold from a Bathroom Exhaust Vent, Hempstead

An exhaust fan hose had pulled apart in the attic, so every shower sent warm, wet air straight into the roof cavity. The homeowner noticed a musty smell and spotted dark staining on the plywood. Our IICRC-credentialed remediators contained the space, removed the affected insulation, cleaned and treated the sheathing, and capped the job with a clearance air sample. The vent was reconnected and sealed. That attic still smells like plywood and hot shingles, which is exactly what it should smell like.
Kitchen Fire with Soot Damage, Hempstead

This one started with a pan of oil that got too hot. The fire was out before the fire department arrived, but soot had gone everywhere, including the cabinet interiors. We cleaned every surface, packed out the salvageable contents, sealed painted surfaces with an odor-blocking primer, and coordinated with the insurance adjuster on what could be cleaned versus what needed replacing. Rick Sumner walked the homeowner through every line item before any work started. The kitchen didn’t need a full gut, and the written scope proved it. That saved the homeowner thousands, and the adjuster signed off without a fight.
Sump Pump Failure After a Storm, Hempstead

Heavy rain overloaded a sump pump that had quietly failed. By the time anyone noticed, water was ankle-deep. We pumped out the water, removed the compromised flooring and baseboards, and dried the slab with a combination of desiccant and low-grain dehumidifiers. One thing that surprised even us: the concrete held more moisture than the drywall readings suggested, so we extended drying by a day rather than call it early. The homeowner replaced the pump with a battery-backup model on our recommendation. That basement has stayed dry through every storm since.
Washing Machine Hose Failure, Hempstead

A rubber washing machine hose split behind the machine. Water ran from the laundry room into an adjacent hallway, soaking vinyl flooring and shoe molding. Because the water was clean and the response was fast, we were able to use an Injectidry drying system to pull water out from under the flooring without tearing it up. The tile-looking vinyl stayed flat, the subfloor dried to spec, and the homeowner kept their floor. We replaced the rubber hoses with braided steel lines, which we do on every washing machine job now.
